I saw someone, because my Montero is ridiculously tall and wonderful, video chatting on their phone at 75 mph running down the highway recently.  I was not amused.

I have a co-worker who said she used to do that on her way home in traffic. She would watch TV or read books while driving. I was stunned/floored that anyone would own up to it, much less say it with some pride. I didn’t know how to respond.

This lady clearly knew it was wrong. I work on a military base and she shut it off just before getting to the gate. As a civilian employee on a military base if one of the base police officers saw her she would probably be fired; they don’t mess around.

I slapped the living shit out of that bee, but it didn’t die.

I stopped the car, and looked for it. It was on the floor, half dead. I carried it out of the car and left it on a random street plant.

I hope it’s fine... I really hit it very hard and it didn’t deserve it.

I wish the base police car that was three cars behind me had been where I was. A distracted driving ticket while in line to enter a military base would’ve probably gotten her fired. A lesson would’ve been learned and no injuries needed.
